Nature’s harvest

We at Lake Harvest feel it is important to stay as close to the natural way of things as possible.  We ensure that our fish are no different from their wild cousins.  We do not use chemicals or pharmaceuticals during on-growing to either promote growth or control disease.   Instead, we operate a farming process that both enables the fish to live a natural life and that brings a quality product to the consumer.   

We feed our fish a balanced, almost wholly vegetarian, diet that is made on site under our own supervision.  The feed is cereal based and contains no GMO crops.  The small proportion of fishmeal is sourced from a sustainable fishery.  It is our intent to completely phase out the fishmeal and this is currently being researched.

We lead the way in tropical cage culture technology and design and make all our own cages.  All fish waste is used to feed the local crocodile farm. We believe in harvesting the best results that nature brings.
