Packaging & Labelling

We have designed our own packaging to meet the strict specifications that we require. Both fresh and frozen packs are manufactured specifically for us and meet all EU standards.

Our fresh fillets are packed into expanded polystyrene boxes with very good insulation properties. These feature a raised base (to allow space for any drip loss) and puncture points for easy draining of the boxes at the retail outlet. They are available with a net mass of 3 or 6kg.  The fresh product is packed in individual layers, which are separated so as to avoid any staining on the fillets.

Our frozen product is also packed in a 6kg box. This is a white waxed cardboard box with the fillets protected with a plastic liner.

Our fillets are farmed specifically to provide an attractive complete fillet for one serving. They are further graded and packed to give our customers full portion control.

Labelling

Traceability is as important to us as it is to our customers and we ensure that full information is given on our product labels, allowing us to trace right back to the feed given to the fish:

• date of production
• best before date
• net weight
• storage temperature
• country of origin
• country of receipt
• lot number
• EU factory registration number
