The 2018 Lake Harvest Kariba Challenge was a resounding success with over 900 runners in both the 10km and 21km runs.
Waiting for the sun to rise on a cool August morning, the raise promptly began at 6:40am from the Total Garage, the runners paced themselves well and enjoyed the 2018 route which was somewhat different to 2017.
Runners ran across the Kariba Dam Wall, enjoying the stunning views of Lake Kariba.
In 1st place Tatenda Hove with a time of 1:05:56, 19 seconds short of breaking the 2018 record which was won by Jacob Mugomeri with his timing of 1:05:37.
2nd Place was Kelvin Pangiso 1:06:20, Kelvin came 4th at Pyong yang in Korea in 2016 and has also represented Zim at the World Champs. No doubt he beats his 2017 Kariba 21 record of 1:07:58.
Our 3rd Place winner was Rabson Chigara 1:06:25, another runner who beat his 2017 record of 1:08:42
